Students examine the rules of natural justice that underpin administrative tribunals, how enabling legislation creates and gives powers to tribunals, a general overview of the practice and procedures of tribunals and the right of appeal and judicial review. Students identify key differences between courts and tribunals, review a tribunal's governing statute, and differentiate between the various methods of internal/external appeals and judicial review in order to assist in preparation of tribunal pleadings.
