This hands-on course will introduce you to the various aspects, both technical and creative, in the art of photographing people as it applies to wedding and portrait taking. Emphasis will be placed on controlling lighting, posing, and the creative process. You will need a digital SLR camera with external flash. You must have a basic understanding of how to operate your camera as well as basic knowledge of the principles of photography. You will have an opportunity to work in both a studio and outdoor setting using models. No point and shoot cameras please.
Field trips are an exciting part of this course. You will be asked to attend special locations within the Durham Region that highlight the feel of this course. Your portfolio will grow from this experience.
